She was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Lajitas, was a lifetime Alpine resident, a homemaker and a Catholic. He was born May 17, 1956, in Pecos, was a mechanic, a lifetime Pecos resident and a Catholic. Josephina Chepa Campos, 99, of Pecos, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at the Pecos County Hospital in Ft. Stockton. He also served many years on the Ballinger Volunteer Fire Department. We have so much to thank him for, because without him, we would not be who we are today. He was also well known for his integrity and fairness in business dealings, his love of history and story-telling and his appreciation of good cattle and fine horses.
